Information for Parents
Information for new player's parents
Your child has shown an interest in roller hockey so we have put together a basic information sheet explaining a little more about the club and the requirements of the game. The British Rink Hockey Association (BRHA) now requires that all children playing in games are fully kitted. The kit requirements are as follows (Body armour is ICE HOCKEY armour not roller hockey as this is not approved of by the BRHA).
All children should be in full kit for training appropriate for their age group (see list below).
CUBS

This kit is mandatory for cubs
COLTS AND JUNIORS

We ask all parents to complete a contact sheet if there have been any changes to your contact details please complete a new contact sheet. It is important that these are kept up to date in case of an accident either during training or during a game.
- It is anticipated that each team shirt will cost approximately £30. The money for the shirts must be paid when the order is taken.
- If you bring along a guest to train it is free for the first two sessions then it is £5 per session paid up front until they register and pay monthly by standing order. It is important that guest's parents have signed a disclaimer form as they are not covered by insurance.
- Our monthly subscriptions are £25 if you are unable to pay by standing order we will accept £25 at the start of each month. We will no longer collect weekly as we do not always manage to see everyone especially if we have games on that day. We charge half the monthly subscriptions for siblings who register, we do not charge for siblings who are not registering but we ask that they pay "Puck and Stick" insurance (approx £7.50).
- Registration for the BRHA is £25 per player with an additional charge of £5 which the club puts on to help cover the cost of team registration £30 in total. It is recommended that any Junior who works pays the senior registration cost of £35 (plus the additional £5 the club puts on £40 in total) as this provides a loss of earnings insurance for any hockey related injury.
- Please let us know if you are unable to train our contact details are found at the end of every news letter or on the website www.wildcatsrollerhockey.com
- If you are willing to help out with lifts etc. please let us know as there has been occasions when it has been necessary to provide transport for some players.
We train weekly at Henry Cort Community College, Hillson Drive, Fareham.

We play regular league games both home and away.
